Primary Purpose Maintain a comfortable environment for instruction and learning by ensuring the availability of electrical power, emergency lighting, and power circuitry while providing Facility Services support in HVAC, Plumbing, and Emergency Operations across campus. Major Responsibilities and Duties:Installing power supply wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable traysTroubleshooting electrical components, wiring diagrams, transformers, motors, panels, and circuitsInstall, repair and maintain electrical systems that interconnect solar array to the grid power Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems such as: switch gears, motor controls, electrical panels, CT cabinets, conveyor systems, lighting, and power suppliesMaintaining current electrician's license or identification card to meet governmental regulationsTesting electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systemInspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codesDiagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemKnowledge and competency of building automation control systems, emergency generators, and cafeteria equipment.Ensure work performed by all electricians is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codesWork with local Inspectors to satisfy local requirements and expectationsTrain, mentor and develop other Facility ApprenticesMaintain high quality control on tools, vehicles and materials needed for job responsibilitiesKeep accurate records of material used and proper documentation on work orders Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and HES standardsPerform other needed job tasks as requested by leadershipSpecific requirements:4 years of experience in commercial/industrial electricalAbility to follow electrical code manuals to install and repair electrical systemsAbility to perform advanced electrical calculationsUnderstand schematic diagrams, blueprints and other specifications required by our clientExperience working with hand tools, power tool and electronic test equipmentStrong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientationAbility to communicate in clear concise language and possess interpersonal skills promoting HES core values and principlesHigh standard of integrity and professionalismDrug free at all timesValid and current Journeyman (or Master) Electrician License within the stateAbove average computer skillsMust be willing to work in high places and maintain "work at heights" certificationsMUST have tools of the tradeOSHA10 \'Construction Safety and Health\' preferredMUST have a \'valid\' driver's licenseMUST have reliable transportation (car or truck)#CBW#ZREducation Requirements (Any)High School Diploma or Equivalent Associate's Degree PreferredCertification Requirements (Any)OSHAElectrical Journeyman LicenseElectrical licenseDrivers LicenseAdditional Information / BenefitsBenefits: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401K/403b PlanScreening Requirements: Motor Vehicle, Criminal Background Check
