Overview:Dignity Health- OutpatientSelect MedicalOccupational Therapist- Hand TherapistFull TimeHenderson, NV SIGN ON BONUS Dignity Health in Henderson, NV is seeking an experienced full time hand therapist for our outpatient orthopedic location. This is a 40 hour per week position treating an upper extremity caseload from shoulders to hands. Hand Therapy experience in management of orthopedic upper extremity conditions including splinting, wound care and the use of physical agent modalities is required to be considered.A Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is HIGHLY preferred, but we are willing to consider occupational therapists soon sitting for the hand therapy exam. You must be comfortable as the only hand therapist on our team of physical therapists with a large local network of support available.We have a solid team of hand therapists throughout our Las Vegas/ Henderson markets with varying levels of experience for support and resources. We offer a CHT prep course and reimbursement for the exam. Dignity Health can help you reach your CHT goal, but unable to consider new graduates for this single hand therapist location. We are looking for a dynamic individual ready to grow and develop as hand therapist. Responsibilities:Responsibilities:Responsible for the evaluation, plan of care, treatment, re-evaluation, discharge, and appropriate communications of high quality hand therapy services to patients and customers.Develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, contribute to case management, and provide quality patient care.Maintain positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.Qualifications:Qualifications:Must be a graduate of an accredited school for Occupational Therapy.Must hold specialty certification or licensure in Hand Therapy.National registration and state licensure or registration REQUIRED.Minimum of two years experience in application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic required.Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience required.Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.Valid state driver s license.Additional Data:Select Medical is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
