Responsibilities:Job Summary: The ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist promotes excellence in clinical nursing practice through clinical expertise and a demonstrated ability to share expert clinical knowledge with others. In the educator role, utilizes adult learning theory and has experience in teaching ICU nurses. May participate in and be asked to lead research. Supports management through evaluation of nursing skills, establishes and evaluates competency and provides feedback on staff performance in the delivery of patient care to the Director. The ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist performs patient evaluations, counsels patients / families and collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate patient care and to improve the clinical quality of care delivered.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to form and manage teams Strong program development, research and analytical skills Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Flexible in scheduling Demonstrates organizational skills and strong leadership ability Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point and Google suite.
• Five years recent critical care nursing experience. Will consider new CNS program graduate with extensive ICU clinical experience.
• Masters Degree - in nursing
• Required: RN = Registered Nurse in State of NV.
• CT ACLS = Advanced Cardiac Life Support-Nat'l.
• CT CCRN = Current Critical Care Nurse Certification, or Certification as a Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist.
• CT CPRBLS = AHA-Basic Life Support-Nat'l.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two years recent experience in the Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist role preferred.
