Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/30/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Specialty: Labor & Delivery (L&D) – High-Risk, Level III Perinatal Unit Key Details: Beds: 17 L&D, 16 Postpartum, 4 Triage, 2 OR suites for C-sections Patient Ratios: 2:1 for normal labor, 1:1 for high-risk labor, 4:1 couplet care, 2:1–4:1 antepartum depending on acuity Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, AFM, NRP Patient Type / Common Diagnoses: High-risk laboring and antepartum patients, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, couplet care Skills Required: Independent and confident in vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, titration of drips (Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Insulin, Heparin) Staffing / Ancillary Support: Certified Surgical Techs and secretaries; OB/Neonatologist and Anesthesia in-house 24/7; RT available as needed Monitoring: RNs read own strips (EFM via Cerner); no tele/monitor techs Orientation: 3-day unit-specific orientation for travelers Shifts / Scheduling: TEAM scheduling system with self-scheduling requests; every other weekend; holidays as needed; floating to postpartum as required Scrub/Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs; light blue OR scrubs available About Malone Healthcare - Nursing With a commitment to providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.
