Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: DOU - Direct Observation Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Direct Observation Unit position requiring at least 1 year of Med-Surg experience and telemetry competency, with night shifts and local candidates welcome. Details - Work in an Observation Unit within a hospital setting - Patient ratio of 1:5-6 - Potential for remote telemetry monitoring - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 - Every other weekend required - Floating to other Med-Surg units required as needed - Charting via Meditech (experience preferred but not required) - Orientation held every Monday Requirements - Active AZ or Compact RN license required - Current BLS certification required - Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg experience required - Telemetry experience required - Two professional references required for consideration - PDF copies of Driver's License and Social Security Card required for consideration Additional Information - First-time travelers are welcome to apply - Local candidates are accepted American Traveler Job ID P-679127.
