Location: Henderson, NVJob_Code: 5369# of Openings: 1General Summary: Under the general direction of the Director, Talent Management, the HR Generalist will utilize in-depth knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, and procedures to provide consultation and support to designated business units, tactical support to line managers and perform administrative run-the-business tasks. S/he will also act as a liaison to other human resources functions as needed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides advice and counsel to executives, managers, supervisors on employee relations, performance management, employee development, and recruitment and retention issues. Manages the full cycle recruitment process for the designated business units. Supports the performance management cycle by reviewing all disciplinary actions and providing consultation and direction to management. Conducts exit interviews, compiles and analyzes data, and makes recommendations for organizational improvement. Manages Workers Compensation program for EMPLOYERS employees injured at work. Responds to and addresses employee relations issues including employee complaints, harassment allegations, and EEOC charges. Represents the company on any unemployment claims. Develops and administers various human resources policies and procedures for all company employees. Develops, recommends, and implements HR policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook of policies and procedures. Researches laws and regulations related to company locations. Assumes such other duties, responsibilities, and assignments as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Job Requirements: 4+ years' experience in human resources or related field Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of multi-state HR related labor laws and regulations. Experience and expertise in the areas of FMLA, ERISA, HIPPA, Workers Compensation and related state and federal regulations as they apply to a medium to large size organization. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills. Sound analytical and problem solving skills The ability to exercise tact and good judgment and maintain a professional demeanor while working in a busy environment. Expertise in effectively creating and maintaining databases and spreadsheets. Thorough knowledge of HRIS systems, MS Office Suite software and web based technology. Experience working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM CP/SCP certification is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements listed above. Pay Range: $58,500 to $71,500 Back Share Apply Now PI160574171
