We're hiring Site Leaders to work in our Youth Enrichment
Battle Born Kids (BBK) and Battle Born Teens (BBT)
Battle Born Kids and Battle Born Teens are recreation programs
held during the day to support distance learning for children ages
K-8th grade while the Clark County School District (CCSD) holds
virtual-only instruction due to the COVID-19 public emergency. The
programs incorporate games, crafts, sports, and movies into the day
while also supporting distance learning. BBK and BBT are offered
from 7am to 6pm at Black Mountain Recreation Center, Henderson
Multigenerational Center, Silver Springs Recreation Center, Valley
View Recreation Center, and Whitney Ranch Recreation Center.
Safekey & Teen Scene
Safekey is a before- and after-school recreational enrichment
program offered at all Henderson elementary schools. This
fun-filled program focuses on crafts, games, cooking, and special
activities. Teen Scene is an after-school program for children in
grades 6-8 offered at some Henderson middle schools and offers
participants arts and crafts, cooking, sports, field trips, and

public emergency, so Site Leaders are currently assigned to work in
the BBK/BBT programs offered at the recreation centers listed
above. You should expect to work at our CCSD school site locations
once these programs resume.
What's the pay?
$11.78 to $11.99 per hour
How many hours will you work each week?
That depends on your availability and where we need you to work.
There is no guarantee to a certain number of hours each week, but
part-time hourly employees may work up to 29 hours per week
year-round and up to 40+ hours per week when working during the
What type of work will you do?
You will serve as the direct on-site supervisor of part-time
employees and program participants at a satellite youth enrichment

What about COVID-19?
If hired, you will be required to wear a face-covering while at
work and follow all City of Henderson COVID-19 safety policies,
procedures, and practices like social distancing, washing your
hands, and sanitizing work areas. Program participants and patrons
visiting our centers must also comply with all COVID-19 safety
rules and state directives in order to use our facilities and
participate in programs.

two (2) years of experience working in recreation programs, and
applicants with group leader experience in a recreation day
