CCCN is dedicated to patient-centered care, advancing innovation, discovery, and improving outcomes.Career Opportunity:Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada has an exciting opportunity for an Accountant II at our Central Business Office location in Henderson, Nevada. This individual works closely with the Controller. In this role, you will work with some of the best physicians in their fields while providing care to patients in a successful health care organization.Scope:Under general supervision, coordinates the month-end close for assigned oncology practices including financial reporting. Performs general accounting functions and prepares reports as required. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintains general ledger, including preparing financial schedules, writing journal entries, etc.Maintains cash and refunds schedules and inspects account statusProcesses monthly close of all practices and management companies in an accurate and timely manner; ensures accruals are appropriately made each month, performs variance analysis for all sites, etc. Performs Accounts Payable duties which include GL coding for invoices to be reviewed by designated approvers, preparing Purchase Requisitions, following up on vendor inquiries, etc.Works with Controller and Assistant Controller and management to obtain all necessary information and explanations to ensure compliance with Management Services Agreements for all practicesEnsures accurate accounting for new practices including opening balance sheet, subsequent adjustments to B/S and MSA, etc.Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detailReviews monthly reporting package for all practices for accuracy, reasonableness and completenessEnsures timely submission of reporting packages to Controller for review; responds to Controller and Assistant Controller inquiries in a timely mannerProvides various practice specific reporting as requested by Controller/Assistant Controller; ensures accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records including depreciationAssists in the annual budgeting process for all practices.Maintains working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to assigned responsibilitiesMaintains confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, finances and cost-effective health care delivery issues Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related business curriculumExcellent working knowledge of Excel and experience manipulating large amounts of dataMinimum two years of experience in fiscal managementHealthcare experience preferredSuccessful candidates will thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment and have a passion for caring for their patients.
