Job Description:

The Sales Assistant will support the fulfillment of orders and provide support to customers and field sales and is a key link between customers and Hogue Inc. Individuals must be highly motivated, patient, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The position coordinates internally and externally to manage and support sales support functions as it relates to achieving sales goals and keeping our clients satisfied and engaged with our products and services. Responsibilities: Support field sales on a variety of tasks directly to the sale and/or development of business. Collaborate with other departments to meet technical and operational requirements of customer and business needs. Manage status reports and ensure teams are driving towards key deadlines. Responsible for order entry, and order management relating to monitoring customers' request dates and scheduled ship dates, holding on orders preventing shipments. Respond to incoming calls, and e-mails for new orders, warranty claims, pricing issues, and general inquiries for all product lines. Responsible for decisions that impact resources, scheduling, contractual commitments, and customer satisfaction. Processes inbound shipment activity, gathers necessary paperwork, processes shipment records, and releases shipment authorization to Sr Account Manager. Organizes and arranges shipment of all inbound orders maintaining shipping schedules. Reconciles shipping invoices to Purchase Orders and acts on discrepancies. Facilitate and participate in customer visits, shows, and events. Oversee tradeshow reservations, purchasing, and inventory. Review opportunities with sales, develop quotes and negotiate order conditions. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key account management and sales rep group. Track weekly and monthly sales figures. Other products and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements: Experience selling tangible goods preferably in the Knife/Firearm/Outdoor Industry. Experience in 2- step distribution preferred. Creative problem-solving skills, and the capability to get things done. Product familiarity or ability to learn details about a product catalog. Familiarity with working with creative, social media, and web teams. BS in Business Management/Marketing, Communications, or similar preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong conceptual and brainstorming skills. Strong project management and organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Strong aptitude for time management, organization, and communication. Collaboration skills with a strong desire to bring best practices to the team through shared knowledge. Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Proficient in order processing through CRM systems. Ability to travel at least 50% of the time (International travel a plus). Ability to work independently and be self-motivated. Military or Law Enforcement experience is a plus. Eligibility Requirements: Pass Medical physical and drug pre-employment screening. Cleared Federal Criminal Background Check; our business maintains ATF permit.
